I think I don't know what I'm doing
OK so I have 3 systems all using the KX drivers - an SB0090, SB0243, and SB0350 - I use them for playback only on 3 computers running Kontakt. So I never paid any attention to the inputs. Today I wanted to record on one of them but in my XP control panels the only input that comes up in the properties is WAVE on all 3 machines. There are no mic or line inputs. I know I'm being really stupid but what do I do? I tried using the KX control panel but I can't seem figure what to do.
Please help! -TS |

Adjust the kX Mixer 'RECORD" page - adjust the AC97 level (and un-mute it)
Then goto the kX Mixer AC97 page - and select the dropdown to stereo mix (to mix, mic, line, aux etc.. via the levels on this page) - or select LINE IN or MIC. (I presume you will use LINE IN - so set it to LINE IN to record only the LINE IN instead of a mix) Now un mute the LINE IN level (and un-mute it) Dep[ending on the card - you may or may not hear the line input - if you want to 'monitor' the line in, and you do not hear it now - goto kX MIXER 'Ins & Outs' page - and adjust the AC97 slider/level - and un-mute it. Hope that helps. edit: Also, make sure the WAVE IN or 'recording' device in kontact is 'kX WAVE ... 0/1'. (the '...' represents your cards model and IO mapped location of your card in your system) Last edited by Maddogg6; Dec 30, 2007 at 03:27 AM. |
