Audio stuttering, MIDI works fine

I can't get my Sound Blaster Live! Value 5.1 soundcard working on my new computer (everything worked fine on the old one).
The trouble is I can't play audio files. All I get is few ms of audio looping endlessly, and song position bar in Foobar 2000 does't move. MIDI files play fine, I can even put DSP effects on MIDI playback.
The wierd thing is that when I tried Linux LiveCD (Musix GNU+Linux), it behaved exactly the same...
Can you guess what could be the problem?

Try to move the card to another PCI-slot.

I've just moved it to the other PCI slot (I only have two), and it's the same thing. The Foobar 2000 slider doesn't move, sound is messed up. I took the modem out, to ensure it's not interfering with soundcard, but no luck...
