I would love to try out the kx drivers with nuendo, and to a point they do seem to be working with lower latency, but when I try to record, to get any signal into nuendo I must push up the ac97 in the ins and outs pannel. (surprisingly, this affects both the audio going into nuendo and expected 'direct monitoring' level). The record source seems to have no bearing on the record input level. I am also hearing both the 'direct' sound and a latency echo, which changes whatever the latency setting is..). Am I overlooking something obvious?

That is correct , the record level setting doesn't control asio volume, the In/outs volume does.
You need to insert a 'St. Vol' module into the 'kx dsp' between your 'ac97' and 'xrouting'. That way you can turn down the direct signal ,and listen only to the monitored signal from Nuendo (or vice versa if u wish). cya |
