Problems Recording With EMU APS
I am not able to record into Soundforge or any wave editor with my EMU APS. The sound source is going through the card and is heard over the speakers, but when I try to record into Soundforge, there is no audio coming in. I have tried every routing I can see on the KX mixer, and nothing solves this problem. Any suggestions/solutions?

It depends on what the audio source is, and your DSP config, etc.
With the default DSP config: Adjust the Master Recording Level on the Recording page of kxmixer (or leave at default value of 100). For kX Synth Recording: - Adjust the Synth Recording Level slider on the Recording page of kX Mixer. For Wave Recording: - Adjust the Wave Recording Level slider on the Recording page of kX Mixer. For Line In or MIC In Recording: - Adjust the AC97 Recording Level slider on the Recording page of kX Mixer. - Select MIC or Line In as the AC97 source (dropdown box) on the AC97 page of kxmixer. - Make sure that the Analog Recording Gain slider on the AC97 page of kxmixer is not muted (inF). Adjust the Gain as desired. Also, make sure that kX Wave 0/1 is set as the default device for audio playback and recording in the Windows Control Panel or within your software if it allows you to specify which device to use. |
