n00b help please

Ok I'm trying to get the KX drivers to work with my sound blaster audigy 2zs plat pro (i already read all the complaints about issues) with virtual dj. I am trying to hook my turntables up to my computer then sepereate each TT within the soundcard and run each to a seperate channel on my mixer.

So far, I have one turntable plugged into the line 2 (1/4" plug) input on the external hub, and the other TT hooked into the line 3 (rca on back) of external hub. I didn't use line 1 because I only had one rca>1/4" plug and it said mic so i wasn't sure if it would work. Anwyays I don't know how to get this thing to work. IT seems the inputs aren't allowing any signal to come in. I can get output fine (so far) by channel , front goes to one channel rear goes to my other channel. Any ideas on how i can get this thing to work. I know i'm using another program that probably no one knows but i just need the two turntables to input and then come out on seperate channels so i can control it with my mixer. Thanks.

Sooo. you already un-muted those inputs in kX mixer 'Ins & Outs' page... ?? (they are all muted by default)

Adjust levels AND change the little grey dot to BLUE (BLUE = 'un-muted', GREY = MUTED) - Refer to kX Help for more info on that...

It is possible kX calls those inputs something different, and I also assume you are using latest version of kX (3539) - and have searched these forums to be sure that those inputs do in fact work with kX (the Plat PRO - IIRC, have some issues, just what, I dont recall)

I unmuted all the inputs. What about those sliders? I moved them up to '0' also, not sure if that's right, before they said INF or something. I got the latest version from the KX website so I think it's the most recent one.

the 'stable' version of kX was 3537 last I knew... the most recent would have been found in these forums, not on the kX Project web site.
Thread title: '3539 released' at the top of this forum

Perhaps you missed this..??

But...
'Inf' = Infinite Attenuation, or Infinite db's of attenuation.. aka 'Muted'
'0' means zero attenuation & zero boost/amplification. -3 = -3 db of attenuation... +6 = +6 dbs of amplification... but I never verified if those were calibrated accurately.
The blue grey ball/button - basically just sets the slider to minimum.
but, you have to make it blue to adjust the sliders. If they all show '0' - you are good.

So.. if *all* your inputs are set to '0' - and you still do not hear those inputs... then try latest version of kX - that is, as long as you are on WinXP or Vista.
Possibly support for that model has improved since V3537 - and Im not sure what version of kX the notes made in the kX Compatibility chart refer to. (I presume with kX 3537, A2ZS Plat Pros '7.1, External Drive, random Line in codec noise' ... ?? but its *just* an assumption)

Note - If I have a overdriven input on my A2ZS Plat (not pro), they auto mute internally (no kX mixer changes tho) - possibly this random noise mentioned in KX compatibility chart is strong enough to possibly cause an overdriven input - and cause muting as well... ?? but I speculate... ??
