Routing all audio through SPDIF on Live Drive: possible?
Hi all,
Since my first attempt at getting my questions answered died, let me try a different approach: In order to use Cakewalk's Sonar with an outboard effect, is it possible to route all audio through the LiveDrive spdif out, through an effect with digital I/Os, and then back in through the LiveDrive's Spdif in, with all other audio I/Os muted or off? It certainly seems doable, but I'm not sure which of the ins and outs on the KX mixer need to be silenced to accomplish this. Thanks, TW |

yes, it is possible
you will need to have a look at kX DSP - well, the particular recommendations will depend on your settings for instance, you can route your audio / midi to spdif out directly (via kX DSP) or you can route particular wave device (such as 'wave 4/5') to spdif out only then simply enable spdif-in in the mixer in order to get a more detailed help, pls provide us with more details /Eugene |

Hi Eugene,
I managed to dope it out with lots of experimentation. I think it just took me a while to figure out which button on the KX GUI matched up with the actual LiveDrive Spdif. Thanks for your post though. Regards, TW |
