Live! CT4830 SPDIF out problems

Hi!

In short my problem and config:
Asus A7V8X - Via KT400 with AMD XP 2000+
SBLive! 4.1 Value - CT4830 connected to Marantz SR4000 receiver (coaxial SPDIF)
Ati Radeon 9500
Win2K Prof. SP3

The problem: With Creative drivers, systems hangs in 2 minutes after starting a game (or anything that'd use the Radeon and the sound card at the same time).
Tried many things, IRQ settings, but in all PCI slots the sound card kept freezing. (Actually Ati drivers froze as the blue screen said, but without the sound card the sys. was rock solid).

Somehow I found kX project with its alternate Live! drivers - guys I'm still amazed by all the programming done in this project

and the freezing was solved! It was no HW failure, I just changed drivers and everything seems fine now, except one small thing:
- that kX drivers send out only PCM-coded signal to my receiver, though the original Creative driver was able to send directly AC-3 signals straight from DVD/DivX movies.

I read the forums connected with AC3 passthru, I heard that kX doesn't support it yet on 10k1-based cards, and I tried drivers 3528, 3531, 3532, 3533.
Tried to use an AC3-passthru and B2B filters on DSP setting (amazing thing I've to admit) but AC-3 never got through. Sometimes crippling noise, sometimes just silent...

I'd love to hear some ideas if there's a way to make this config work with AC-3. Maybe if anyone has experience with older Creative drivers, that wouldn't freeze under Win2K.

your card is 10k1-based, so, this feature isn't yet supported for your card
