What is the best sound card I can buy that works with the kx driver?

Hi! I want to replace my old Creative Live! 5.1 sound card with a new one, but was wondering what would be the best one I can get and still be able to use the kx audio driver.

I currently have a PC running Windows XP with 1GB RAM.

Thanks a lot!!!

Yes please!....
I was about to ask this very exact question too...
I consider the KX drivers to be amazing... but sadly... I can't say the same about my SBLive standard...(not even 5.1)
So I'd like to upgrade to the best KX-able card (for audio use), but I don't know which one is it.
Thanks a lot for your information.

I have an Audigy 2 ZS - and it works well with kX, has a little better codec than the lives.
Others have recommended this card as well. (but I can't find the threads now... )And the card can be found pretty cheap on ebay - though, I doubt you would find any *new* cards that kX supports.
Heres the list of supported cards:

Thanks a lot for this, and also for the tip re: ebay. I have just had a look and bought one for £24.99. Should arrive towards the end of the week. I'm looking forward to it!

Thanks again,

Eddie

The best working card with the most I/O capabilities is the Audigy1 card SB0090 and SB0092, Audigy2 cards do have some issues here and there, but working almost great. Look to the compatibility list on kX-project homepage.

That link brings up a blank page... In any case, the Audigy SE is not compatible with kX (does not have the EMU10K2 chip). See the above link that Maddogg6 posted for kX compatibility info.
