inputs OK, outputs not detected
I'm trying to get 3 sound cards to be recognised
simultaneously by Windows 2000/Service Pack 4 on a Pentium 2 with Intel chipset. I have the following four Creative sound cards: SB0240 Audigy 2 SB0350 Audigy 2 ZS SB0350 Audigy 2 ZS SB0610 Audigy 4 I run the first 3 with kX driver version 5.10.0.3537 and the last with the Creative driver. I have no other cards installed and have disabled features so that there are no IRQ conflicts. I can get any pair of cards to work fine but when I try any 3, Windows detects 3 for input but only 2 for output. It doesn't matter which PCI slots I use. When I try all 4, it detects 4 for input and 2 for output. All the software I have which displays a list of i/o, including my own use of the midiOutGetNumDevs() and midiOutGetDevCaps() functions, displays the same symptoms so I think Windows' database is wrong. I've uninstalled/reinstalled the drivers but it makes no difference. Has anyone else seen/fixed this? |
