Winamp ASIO or KS plugins wont' work with kx drivers
I'm using 3537 or 3538. If I try to use the ASIO plugin there's no sound. I haven't changed the ASIO routings from default. If I try to use the Kernel Streaming plugin, there's not even an audio device the plugin detects when I go to configure it.
Another thing is that Winamp plays no sound regardless of output selection if I try to play an Audio CD...can't figure out if this is related to me using kx drivers. I'm running XP SP2 with Audigy 2 ZS, S/PDIF output (had to do the rerouting to get rear channels assigned to the proper outputs as has been mentioned before for this card in the forum). |

I do not use WinAMP, so I am unsure about its plugins...
As for Audio CD, how it is connected to the card? Generally there are 3 different ways to get audio from CD: Analog connection to sound card: To use this, you need to unmute the 'AC97 In' slider (Ins and Outs page of kxmixer) and select 'CD' in the AC97 source selection box (AC97 page of kxmixer). Digital Connection to sound card: To use this, you need to unmute the 'CD Digital In' slider in kxmixer (Ins and Outs page). Digital Audio Extraction: This requires no connection between the CD drive and the sound card (this is what most people seem to use these days), to use this you need to enable digital audio extraction for the CD drive, in the OS. |

funny, i installed that asio plugin today after coming across it in another thread
when you press play does winamp actually play.. as in does the slider move? ive an audigy card so your playback capabilities are probably a bit different but mine worked after enabling resampling and setting it to 48khz in the plugins configuration within winamp. i guess thats because its the native sampling rate of my card but set it to whatever the audigy2 supports and see what happens. i also had to increase the buffer a bit to avoid dropouts
