audigy skip forard issue

I am using kx drivers on a Win XP machine running DJPower and Hollywood plus card (DVD hardware card)

When using Creative drivers DJPower has the dreaded skip forward problem.

When using the kx drivers DJPower does not skip at all but when I play a .VOB file (while DJPower is still playing) from hard drive via Hollywood plus or Mplay32.exe the sound cracks up and skips for several seconds until the video starts to play.
This does not happen with the creative drivers for XP.
1GB P3 machine with 256mb 133 memory. Abit Board, intel 80810 chipset.

Any suggestions.
IDE DMA is in mode 5
