Qns about the skins

Is it possible to make kX mixer show all the options and sliders?
I suppose the mixer hides stuff not supported by the card.

Currently trying to make a skin.

One more thing.
What kind of format is the color code in?
Doesn't look like the web colors format.

you can run kxmixer with one of these options (particularly --a2, --aps, --10k2 etc.)
Note that some of these flags are mutually exclusive, besides - different controls for different cards may occupy same locations (in other words you can't get all at once)

it seems to be BGR (e.g. standard in reverse)

I am not sure that all of those switches are fully functional any more... I have tried them in the past, and although I could see some minor changes in kxmixer, I could never get it to look like some of the pictures that I have seen with some other card models (although it is possible that I have not figured out the right combination of switches, or maybe (as Max said), there are some conflicts with the controls used by my card).

Looks good so far

One suggestion: The foreground/background/border colors (indi_colors) used with the slider values makes it a little hard to read some of those values, you might consider a background color closer to the mixer background, and maybe a different border color (i.e. similar to what the Aqua skin does) to make it a little more readable (or just use the ProFX color scheme).

BTW: You do not need to include stuff that did not change (lang.ini, categories.ini, images, sounds, etc).

Again, looks good so far, but there are some minor issues (and I am not sure what might be intentional):

AC97 Source Selection and 3DSE appear to be in the same spot on the AC97 page.

The Analyzer window is missing the peak button (with default DSP config).

The bar that shows DSP resource usage is no longer at very top of the DSP window (looks a little strange, and leaves less room for plugins).

The mouse-over states of the buttons makes them look pressed, which is a little strange (mouse-over usually highlights or slightly raises (if anything), etc).

The little box that shows the card model is actually a selection box (i.e. people with multiple cards can use it to select which card to configure, etc), and thus should probably have some kind of mouse-over state that gives some clue that it is not just a label.

In any case, good work

I'll look into the AC97 and 3DSE one.

Didn't see the peak button as I wasn't on default config.

My plan at first is to move the DSP resource bar to the bottom but using negative x, y values makes the bar dissappear. Maybe I'll move it to the title bar area then.

The third state(the _s pics, pressed state?) buttons doesn't seem to work on the aqua skin so I suppose they don't work. I will test it. If it doesn't work, the buttons stay as that.

Will add a rollover colour for the card model box.

Tried the --k2ex switch but I can't get the unskinned options in the Master page to show up.

This is going to be hard.
LyyNx, maybe you can tell me what is the tooltip title of the unskinned options?
And make more screens with the dropdown menus expanded?

and don't paty attention that in that screenshot there are things missing. that's just my dsp set up.

I would like to know if the "Digital Output only" options (should be at the space of the P16V dropdown) is missing because of your DSP settings or because of your card model.

I understand the speaker test button is missing as it went with the Surrounder DSP.
Also how did you make the Master volume disappear?

Maybe a screenshot with the default DSP setup may help?
If it doesn't trouble you?

i just found something that i haven't noticed before. there's an option in the right click menu on tray icon, on double click options "kX Mixer / E-Card". with aqua skin it works fine, even though there's nothing on that page for me.
with proui skin, the mixer window stops responding and i can't change pages until i change the skin or quit the mixer altogether

Working on the fix.

Two more questions:
Does "Toggle 'S/PIDF-In AC-3 Decode' mode" and "Digital Output only" appear at the same time on other card models?
Does the 4 options only appear with Audigy 2 Platinum?

Because if they alternate I will put both at the same coordinates.
If the 4 only appear on k2ex cards then maybe can try to make a unique layout for it.

Probably they don't, but i would not rely on that (as these options are not related)

"Audigy 2 Platinum" look is identical to plain Audigy2/Audigy2ZS (e.g. these 4 options appear for every A2).
But note the difference between "Platinum" and "Platinum Ex" (The "Ex" has different look - see 'is_k2ex'/'isnt_k2ex' flags in kxskin.ini)

Maybe I'll just try to rearrange the items as the kxskin file says don't use this flags except for 'sliderXX=' and 'pageXX=' lines, most of the options are buttons.

Anyway is there a card model that shows all options?
That would be best for making kX skins.

I do not know if there is any model that has all of the options, but here are a couple pictures that I made using info from the Aqua skin, that I think shows all the options for the Main page of kxmixer.

The reason why it is 2 different pictures, is because zsnb_source is placed in the same position as dsp_bypass (so I would guess that A2ZSNB does not have the bypass option, and thus both controls would never be on the page at the same time). Note: I just guessed at what combo box might show for zsnb_source

on my A2ZS Plat. - I dont have a 'digital output only'
I have also (unique from my SBLive 4.0 CT4832):
'P16V Record Source' drop down.
'Direct SPDIF recording' drop down
'S/PDIF Frequency' dropdown
As well... hope that helps...

Yeah, that looks like a bug.
You should probably remove the "action=" line (as well as the tooltip) from the noecard button instead of leaving it blank.
