What notebook should I buy to get the best result with ZS 2 NB + kX?

I use the soundcard for live VSTi playing (from MIDI-keyboard) through ASIO.

Not kX-specific but some models have incurable latency issues, watch out for that. You may want to review the DPC Latency and Laptop stickies on soundonsound.com's PC Music forum: Sound On Sound Forum

System Specs

also make sure that any laptop you buy has a PCMCIA or PC Card slot (PCI based), rather than Express Card (PCIe) - otherwise the A2ZSNB won't work

btw, do you know of any of such adapters available and working?
I'm considering to adding support for E-mu 1616m notebook, but will need an adapter (to plug-in PCMCIA E-mu to PCIe laptop...)
this will also be a milestone for OSX support for MacBook/MacBookPro... : )
