Line IN ?
ok first of all im a noob with the kx drivers so my question will be simple - how to get the line in input working. i have an electric guitar and i want to use it with guitar rig but before all of that i need to find a way to setup the line in input cause right now i cant hear any sound coming from the guitar. i tried everything in the mixer but nothing seems to unmute the line in input even if it says its unmuted. my card is sb0222 and i use the default DSP setup, i also have asio4all installed.
when i was using the normal SBlive driver it was as simple as selecting the line in input and pluging in the guitar but i probably am not doing something right here (there are a lot of sliders you know )

For use with MME or ASIO4ALL:
On the Recording page of kxmixer: Make sure that the Master Recording level is set to 100. Unmute the AC97 Recording level slider and set the level to 0 dB. On the AC97 page of kxmixer: Make sure that the GAIN slider is not muted. Select Line In as the AC97 source in the AC97 Source selection combo-box. - Using kX ASIO is a little more complicated due to the ASIO mapping issue that exists with Live! 5.1 models. On the Ins and Outs page of kX Mixer: Unmute the AC97 In slider and set the level to 0 dB. On the AC97 page of kX Mixer: Make sure that the GAIN slider is not muted. Select Line In as the AC97 source in the AC97 Source selection combo-box. In the DSP window: Disconnect the connections between the top 2 pins of prolog and xrouting, Connect the top 2 pins of prolog to the ASIO 4/5 connectons on epilog. Set your host software to use kX ASIO 4/5. If that does not work, try selecting different stereo pairs for input, in the host software, until you find the one that works. |
