Problems with monitor signal
Hello!
Right now I´m trying to record my guitar for a song in Logic 5.5 . The guitar is routed through my mixer which sends to the line in of my SBLive. The KX DSP is in it´s default setting and I have turned software monitoring off in Logic (otherwise that will cause phase problems). It seems like the only control for volume that changes anything is the AC97 fader on the "In and out" section of the KX mixer. The problem is that this controls both the recording volume and "what I hear" and the signal is way too loud. So if I set the fader to a position where the recording level is ok then "what I hear" of the guitar is much louder than the rest of the song but it´s ok when I play it back. It feels like I´m missing something here. Does anyone know a solution. I would prefer monitoring through my mixer but I havn´t figured out if there´s a way to set the KX so that the input (what you are recording) doesn´t go to the output WHILE you´re recording. Is that possible? Thanks a lot and hats off to the KX team! Petri |
