mjbow is on a distinguished road

probs installing kx 3532

trying to reduce the txt:

an 'old' asus (?); amd 300; 197m ram (?); ati vcard; sblive platinum 5.1 (with this shiki-miki sb-drive on the front of the pc); running win2k prof; directx=8.1; whatelse-doweneed?
prob: after running setup.exe it would popup a servicepack1 dependence (i don't have it) then further find the card as CT4760 modell (which is correct: written on the pci-card), install, find the joystick-port (or was it gamer-port?), install, prompt for vst-plugins dir and then ask for restart with options 'ok' and 'cancel'.
after rebooting the kxmixer will prompt with s.th. like 'error: soundcard not initialised, try installing your drivers once again...'(sorry for the free incorrect translation from german).
looked in the device-manager, the drivers are kx and not win and there're no probs listed.
just wondered: should it be really CT4760 when theres this sblive drive, shouldn#t i chose s.th. like SB 220 (orelse?) model by installing. or could it possibly be a prob with the missing servicepack1?
thnx in advance
bow
