asio mappings..... to eugene...
hi:
i was just browsing through the help file and noticed this: "SB006x cards have an issue with ASIO input and output mappings that can't be fixed (a hardware problem). " is this the reason why, when recording multitrack in logic, connecting an input to ASIO 0-1 will cause things to get....'wonky'... specifically (copying from another post i made): " for example, recording from asio 0-7 should go to input 1-8 in logic... but it doesn't quite work out that way. for example (just running a quick test of things right now) my asio 3 went to input 4 okay, but asio 2 went to input 2...sort of (it also included a bit of the signal from asio 3) and everything else was similarly shifted around. do i understand it? no. i don't. if any of the developers are interested, i can rewire the dsp again and post where all of the inputs end up, but for the moment i just avoid asio 0-1 and everything works well. " would this problem not occur with another model card, i.e. sb0102? (i have that card in my system, but it is not my "asio card"..... should i rewire my cards?) thanks, martin |

unfortunately, all the '5.1' series of 10k1-based cards may suffer from this issue
the asio channels get mixed up sometimes there's no solution at the moment /Eugene |
