OH MY EARS - Audigy 2 ZS Noises!
Hi.
So, I've been trying this driver to see what all the rage is about, but I've been having a very tough time getting it set up and working. It seems that in winamp, if i keep reloading the same song, it will either be silent (the better option), or a very loud, ear-piercing, tweeter destroyer noise instead. Note that I can repeat this problem if I use another program that generates sound too (such as the windows volume control window). I've played with buffer sizes and pretty much all options in "Setup Buffers" -- but nothing will fix it. I am running default settings otherwise (except that I set it to 2.1 instead of 5.1). This is an Audigy 2 ZS PCMCIA card (SB0530) inside my Lenovo T61. Any ideas? Thanks! |

Which driver package you are using? Audigy2ZSNotebook is anyway not folly supported yet and there are some issues with some PCMCIA controller chipsets. Maybe your problems rely on these issues.

Re: OH MY EARS - Audigy 2 ZS Noises!
I still have this problem on version 3550. I have been able to listen music with Winamp without any problems using the other soundcard on my system.
Fortunately, this problem has never showed up when using DAWs and the ASIO driver.
