Bass not synchron
Hi!
I'm using version 3543 with the default DSP setup and 5.1 profile, modified so it redirects to the bass at 120Hz and below. The problem is that the subwoofer is not synchron with the beats in a music file. A good example is this song. Forward to 40 seconds. The subwoofer output is about 300 - 500 ms later than the beat in the song. I hope you understand what I mean. Is it possible to decrease this delay? Regards T3rm1 |

Anyway - with 3545a - I did a test - sending only LFE out to my 2.1 system with an integrated subwoofer (the speakers split the lows to the subwoofer) - its not an exact test - but I think it is close enough to say - its not kX doing the delay. I wonder if you are using redocne or ASIO4ALL or ??? something else - I find it hard to believe Surrounder is doing this on its own. A dynamics processor with 'look ahead' will add a delay, but only 4.0 ms max - so... A pic of your DSP may help...?? Maybe state exactly how you are getting 5.1 (is it surrounder that is upmixing from WAVE0/1 playback in a browser? - or are you feeding one soundcards or another PC's output to the kX compatable card? Maybe try newer version of kX?? I am stumped otherwise. |
