Feature request: Hide tray icon but remain resident.
I'd like kX to startup with windows and remain resident but would like a command line parameter of --hide or something to have it hide the icon in the system tray. Thoughts/comments?

I dunno - how do you propose to get the mixer when you want it? I guess - if a single icon is a problem for you, its my guess that you have a bunch of other ones also... in which case, is not a great idea if doing any DAW - as kX is more aimed at - ie.. ASIO recording... usually - people remove un-needed applications from running (and adding to the pool of icons) to free up resources for recording. Naa - I would rather have the dev(s) concentrate on other aspects of the driver than spend time for a feature a couple people *may* find useful. |

Yes indeed it does, but I have very few icons as I'm a minimalist and I get all the functionality I need from the native Windows Mixer, except for the hotkeys I'm now using via Russ's (ingenius) PluginQL, so since I only need kX Mixer resident and not physically in my systray, I'd like an option which most programs with tray icons tend to offer and not have to bother with that silly 'Show hidden icons' nonsense (I literally only have 6 things in my tray so it's unecessary to me). Maddogg6: kX Mixer would of course still be available from the Start Menu | Programs... which is where I would go for it when I needed it before I started using the aforementioned odd hotkey. In fact I only used kXmixer with the --startup --once commands so that it wasn't even resident, just restored the settings from the registry on Windows startup. Unfortunately it must be resident in order for Russ's hotkey add-on to function, hence my desire to be able to hide the icon. |

Russ that's fantastic! Thank you. I've added this to my startup. Nice and clean
