kxsynth via asio

sorry for my bad english,

somewhere in this forum, i've red, that there is a possibility recording soundfonts is cubase.
maybe max wrote, if we rout the midi channels to different fxbus channels, and after connect to asio ins: it will work.
i've tried it.
first step was fxbus 2/3 (synthl/r) to asio 4/5, but cubase recorded only the right channel.
i've tried this, because fxbus 2/3 are the default synth outs.

in general: fxbus channels are mono channels, how can i record stereo samples (gm drums etc.)

thanks kovzs

synth is stereo (fxbus 2/3) and there should be no problem recording it in 'stereo'
(that is, each note is panned between fxbus2 and fxbus3)
try different asio inputs (especially if you have a '5.1' live board), for instance, asio8,9 ('In 5 L/R')

make sure you pan your synth correctly via MIDI controllers (should be ok by default)
make sure you record in stereo (in cubase)

What you did works perfectly for me (live CT4760) "first step was fxbus 2/3 (synthl/r) to asio 4/5, but cubase recorded only the right channel. "

might be a problem of panning or a problem of soundfonts drivers?

Thanks for the replies

I use Cubase VST/32 and when I've tried the asio recording win98/se. I connected fxbus2/3 to asio
Eugene wrote. Cubase recorded only the right channel, too.
In the beginig of this week i get Windows ME, and I tried it again with the same DSP settings, The right channel only
Yesterday i bought Windows XP and I tried it again.
Now the stereo asio recording works

Thanks again.
