Re: RUSS: Here comes a tiny challenge :)

Sorry Oxtie, I really do not know anything about MAC audio, so I doubt that I can be of any help. Since it was indicated that it does work with XP, that leaves it as being a MAC or kX/MAC issue.

One question I have is, do we know for sure that kX works with Mac OSX iDeneb 10.5.5?

Aside from the above, I can only suggest reinstalling kX, and maybe moving the card to a different PCI slot to see if it makes any difference.

Smilie Re: RUSS: Here comes a tiny challenge :)

huh? I thought I read (doesn't work for xp)... I'm quite sure I read it... (but now its not the same). Anyways, I'll pass the changing to PCI slot message Something as nasty as this should be caught...

BTW, how come you didn't try OSX? on PC? It is very odd that E was so much interested that he made driver for it and you didn't try OSX? It would be cool to have you on OSX side, specially when thinking for ALL ANSWERS

Hehe, I do not know, but he did say "Sound works on XP on both computers" so....

As for OSX on PC, no, I have not tried it... I really do not have the free disk space right now for such things, so I have not even checked the system requirements to see if it would work with my (old) system.

Yep, I guess he did...

Is it a dinasour aged pc with Pentium 3? If its P4+ you can always run it... guessing from your hdd space, I think its P2! So when can you upgrade? the next cool PC is with Corei7 (launching on 17 which is 4 days from now)

Hehe, it is pretty old. The CPU is an old AMD Athlon Thunderbird 1.3 GHz (put it this way, I built it when the very first 1000 MHz chips (which is what I originally had in it) came out).

That is quite OLD I think one distro (Leo4All) has AMD support it requires 512+ and takes 3GB space... (but very cool effects and extremely stable) (Office2008+Adobe+CAD apps are there too)

I think iDeneb is faulty os distro (for that dude)

Yeah, that is what I was wondering, since that seems to be the main difference between the 2 computers (other than possible hardware differences that were not mentioned)...
