Re: kx drivers and windows 7
the kX devs are still sorting out issues with Win Vista - and I have doubts much attention will be placed on an OS that is still in beta. (I dont blame them either - changes in Win7 could break 'fixes' made in kX, and could need to be done again)
If things like Cubase *and* beta testing an OS are important to you - I suggest dual booting XP and Win 7 - kX in Win XP is pretty solid and feature rich. |

Re: kx drivers and windows 7
Hello, I resolved problem with mixer startup by changing path to C:\Program Files\kX Audio Driver\3541\kxmixer --startup - with applyed compability settings. I don't know why, the same file on default path c:\windows\system32\ - not starting....
And my soundblaster works fine... but only in stereo mode I have a problem in games, most sounds just missing. You may laugh - but it's important to me, and I'm searching for any suggestions. I think this becouse multichannel mode not working, but my game has only multichannel sound sorry for my english, I tried to make myself clear =) |

They playing a bit with Sound applet in Control Panel. Right click each entry listen in Playback Devices and check if there is Configure Speakers... option and set it to something more than 2 channel (stereo).
