KX for Asio Audio..Cool!
|
Running multiple apps causes crash?
Running Cubase SX in rewire with Reason, it runs fine, under kx asio driver
When I try to 'additionally" launch Acid, Cubase Crashes hard and the whole system becomes instable, requiring reboot. There is a switch in cubase, "release driver in background". when that is set, Reason crashes and that solution doesnt work. Is it possible to have multiple audio apps running thru the kx asio driver simultaneously? A workaround? The immediate solution is to close cubase and Reason, then open acid! Any other solution? I also have my ac97 prolog 1and2 routed to both asio epilogs 0and1 and 14and15 Could this be affecting it? I use that routing for logic |

I have had the same problem a long time, it happens when you start 2 or more asio output applications at the same time... (I never did get an answer on if this is a bug or just an drawback of asio)
sometimes it works, sometimes it dont, and that also changes from release to release :-) |

actually, multi-host ASIO is supported in 'playback' mode only
that is, you need to disable recording in all applications or use it in -one- host only note that some software is incompatible with multi-host ASIO the kX driver doesn't check if the recording is enabled/disabled properly /Eugene |
