multiple outs question
I'm using kx drivers 3532 with a Soundblaster Live! card, firstly many thanks for providing such good drivers, 2ms latency is a godsend on a £20 card..... :-)
Okay, my query is that my card appears to have two audio outputs on the back (one green, one black), is it possible to set up the Kx drivers so that applications can select which output to send their audio output to (in my case I am wanting to route different outputs from NI Traktor to different outputs on the card) Or is it a case of getting hold of another soundcard to do it. Thanks in advance for your help... |

I'm not shure, but i'think if your software supports 4 outputs (i.e. surround like in LogicAudio) you can select different outputs for every instruments or channel.
I think also that with the ASIO routing of KX you can select different ASIO CHANNELS and mapped them to different Speakers output. How? Boh? |

hmmm
The software definitely supports multiple outs on each channel, is it a case of selecting the 0/1 and 4/5 outputs though (this doesnt seem to work, and from what I understand of the routing guide on the main site, isnt the way to do it anyway...??)

I think this:
In The FX Bus You Have different stereo "software outputs" AUDIO 0/1 AUDIO 4/5 AUDIO 6/7 AUDIO 8/9 In Xroutings You have Wave4/5 routed to Front - Wave 6/7 routed to Rear - Wave 8/9 routed to Center-SubWoofer And in the EPILOG You Have Fisical outputs (Front LEft, Front Right, Rear LEft, Rear Right etc) If You connect software outputs of FX bus to Xroutings and Xroutings to different Fisical outputs of EPILOG and then in your software You select different Wave outputs for the Tracks (track 1 to Wave 4/5 - Track 2 to Wave 6/7 etc) you might have a way. don't You think that it's correct? Tonight I try it. |

this is the default configuration, but you need to set-up the 'Surrounder' plugin (choose the appropriate speaker/output settings) /Eugene |

Traktor
hello everyone, i know you have to take KX-Asio and then you will have 16 outputs (this outs are on FX 0-15) and then you can put the wires in the DSP from the FX to epilog. in traktor you have to rotate the one knob to cue, otherwise you will hear everything on both stereo outputs.
regatds, and a nice long weekend gerald

If your card supports multiple outputs for surround sound, kX should let you wire up these outputs directly to ASIO ports.
I have an Audigy1 Platinum, and I'm now using it as a six-in-six-out analogue card with ASIO (plus multiple digital ins and outs on ASIO, the soundfont engine wired to its own ASIO port, and a couple more ASIO ports dedicated to kX effects, so that when they get the reverb thing sorted out I'll be ready). If you want to be able to access individual outs from your sequencer via ASIO, what you need to do is go to kXRouter page, scroll down to "ASIO+" and use the effects send controls to route individual ASIO channels to unused FXBUS outputs. Then you go to the kXDSP page, and wire those FXBus outputs to the hardware outputs of your soundcard (epilog block, near the top) That's it! It took me awhile to work out how to wire everything up on the Audigy, because I found it difficult to work out what the different parts of the card were, and how those related to the different blocks on the kX (with all the funny names), but eventually I got it. Once they release that upcoming version of kXwith the nice reverb and effects panels, I'm sure that someone will upload some default "music" settings configurations for it, so that emagic&steinberg users can simply load a driver setup and have their system set up for them without having to "learn" kx. I would upload my own settings, but I want to wait until the kX reverb stuff is sorted out. |
