sb0360 with i/o console AKA audigy platinum pro
i just got this last thursday so im still messing around with it then after i get it down will put kx drivrs on as i know they will be better for what i want to do with this sound card...if kx does support 24/96 recording and there is no more noise on the inputs with nothing connected.
anyhow here is my questions i use ableton live 7 and when i select asio there are a few choices....if i select "creative asio" or "creative asio audigy 2 zs" or something like that and then i go into the "input and output" sections to turn off and on what inputs and outputs i want to use i see 20 ins and 20 outs....i know for sure i see 20 ins and i think i seen 20 outs. ANYHOW ![]() has anyone made a map i can look out to see which input number goes to what jack on audigy 2 zs platinu pro? i hope someone made one up. ex: i turn on all the inputs and outputs both mono and stereo. ext in (channels 17/18) goto line-in 1 ext in (channels 1/2) goto line-in 2 i mean its random....they are in same spot everytime but there is no logic in the ordering that i can see. i know there are midi inputs, coax, optical, line-in`s and mic-in just on the i/o box and now if we count the ones on the sound card itself i know there is spdif and an aux-in i dont know i hope someone mapped this all out. |

Re: sb0360 with i/o console AKA audigy platinum pro
ok i got some of it done.
if anyone wants to help step right in. ![]() SB AUDIGY 2 ZS ASIO (C000) EXT-IN`s: 01/02 (Line-in 2 = 1/4" Cable) 03/04 (anytime you record or play this works) 05/06 (anytime you record or play this works) 19/20 (Line-in 3 = RCA on back "NOT COAX") 15/16 (shared* coax-IN on back and optical-IN on front) 17/18 (Line-in 1 = 1/4" Cable and Mic-in) http://www.imagecoast.com/images/en1gma/20inputs.jpg the pic is so you can see what im talking about. SB AUDIGY 2 ZS ASIO 24/96 (C000) EXT-IN`s: 01/02 (Line-in 1 = 1/4" Cable and Mic-in) 03/04 (Line-in 2 = 1/4" Cable) 05/06 (Line-in 3 = RCA on back "NOT COAX") http://www.imagecoast.com/images/en1gma/2496.jpg that last set is alot easier to understand but it dont show no optical or coax ins. Re: sb0360 with i/o console AKA audigy platinum pro
Maybe this will make things a little simpler....
Ableton seems to 'rename' kX ASIO inputs and outs... kX ASIO 0/1 = 1/2 in Ableton So, subtract 1 from what ableton calls it, and it *should* correspond to kX ASIO.. kX ASIO INPUTS in kX DSP (audio sent to abletons AUDIO INPUT) Assuming Default DSP config... kX Mixer Record Settings = kX ASIO 0/1 (on Epilog) = Abelton Input 1/2 AC97 Input = kX ASIO 2/3 = Ableton Input 3/4 CD SPDIF Input = kX ASIO 4/5 = Ableton 5/6 I2S / SPDIF C = kX ASIO 6/7 = Ableton 7/8 Coax/Optical SPDIF = kX ASIO 8/9 = Ableton 9/10 . . . Look at kX DSP Prolog - and how they connect to the ASIO ins of EPILOG. Even easier - play something on an input, and you can see level on that input in Abletons INPUT selector. Too bad ableton does not allow renaming the IO.... |
