how to route headphone cue output with CT4780

hi guys
im using a sound blaster live CT4780 and i would like to have a headphone cue output for ableton since there're actually 2 line outs on the card, one for rear speakers, one for front speakers.
i searched around the forum and finally found a post that could help here -> http://www.hardwareheaven.com/asio/248...tor-setup.html
but the instructions do not match what i see in the DSP routing and im unsure of wat to connect and disconnect.
for eg. MichelSup says "Remove all wires from fl/fr and from sl/sr on the xrouting box, remove effects boxes if you don't need them"
i dont see fl/fr and sl/sr on the xrouting output, just stereo left/right, and "ne" "nw" "sw" "se" "n". are they the equivalent of fl/fr sl/r?

im using version 3545 and asio4all

Re: how to route headphone cue output with CT4780

Why are you using ASIO4ALL instead of kX ASIO?

In any case, if you set it to use ASIO 2/3 for the main output, and ASIO 4/5 for cue, then you should not have to change anything in the DSP (BTW: Make sure Surrounder is set to 4.0 or greater).

Aside from the above, you should read the tutorials to learn how to make your own custom DSP configs.

Re: how to route headphone cue output with CT4780

It only makes sense to connect the headphone to the front output, since only this out is amplified to drive low impedances. So the main output for playback should be routed to the rear out, which has always a cleaner signal. For easy routing inside the DSP use the ProFX package that you can download in the DSP forum.
