need help sending line-in to program

I want to play my guitar through Reaktor fx (or any other fx prog).

I can hear the sound from the line-in in the speakers but the program doesnt seem to get the audio.

I have athlon xp, original sb live and latest kx drivers.

I have read the kx help docs but Im very confused. This seem like a very basic setup, at least with my previous drivers it was very easy to setup... I would just choose line-in as recording source and then mute it in the play panel. Now with kx I just dont understand how to do this....do I need to go into the dsp routing at all?
