Questions about Audigy 2 ZS Platinum Pro (SB0360)
Hello,
I got my hands on one of these cards. However I have issues with it. There are 3 connectors on the back side of the card. On the topmost one sound is loud and clear, however on the other 2 connectors - sound is much more quieter and sounds like its clipping when there is more bass (when listening to music). Is this known issue? Maybe I am not doing something correctly. Maybe the other 2 connectors use some kind of different codecs or need different initialization. Also does anybody know what for is the PWD1 (4 pin) connector on the card itself. Thank you |

Re: Questions about Audigy 2 ZS Platinum Pro (SB0360)
Thanks for your answer Russ,
Somehow I cannot read the manual. I see only the contents. So I searched more through the web and now I think PWD1 is the "Additional power supply connector" So this should be connected to the floppy power supply cable coming from the PSU. Can somebody who owns A2ZS Plat. Pro check this for me. Play some music. Connect your headphones/stereo speakers to the each one of the 3 output at back of the card. Check how does it sounds. For me only the topmost connector is fine. 2 other sound quieter. |

Unblock worked. Thanks.
Maybe if I supply power to the card the other 2 channels will start working properly. I need some "power converter cable" which I am missing. Do you think I can plug-in the floppy power cable there. At least it fits. |

Again, I do not know. Hopefully someone who has the card can tell you if the converter cable is anything more than just an extension cable. |

Thanks for your help Russ,
I guess I will risk today and just try the floppy cable. PS. Floppy power supply cable worked! Last edited by imperia; Apr 8, 2009 at 04:06 PM. |
