Do the drivers not work when using 4 GB of ram?

Hello, I was wondering if anyone had success with running the x64 drivers with 4gb of ram? When I use 4 GB vs 2 GB the sound does not work or if it does it is very distorted.

I run just fine with 8gb, on Vista SP1.

No master mixer/multichannel, but that's a x64 10k1 bug apparently.

Edit: At the same time, on 7 RC1, it only works with 2gb. That's discouraging :\
