from 48000HZ to 41000Hz
if " It is widely known that the 10k1 and 10k2 chips operate at a fixed sampling rate, 48000 Hz" ..does that mean if I record on 44000 Hz, my soundcard gets slower?...I mean is the best thing to record on 48000Hz and after finishing whole song then to transfer it to 44000Hz (for CD)...
What for is TUBESOUND...it doesen't change a thing if i put it in DSP?....

soundcard can't get slower or faster... sound is just get resampled from default 48 (format sound data comes through hardware) to 44 just before "recording port"... >.I mean is the best thing to record on 48000Hz and after finishing whole song then to transfer it to 44000Hz (for CD)... Yes, definitely this is the best strategy for e10kx based cards... >What for is TUBESOUND...it doesen't change a thing if i put it in DSP?.... This is "psychoacoustic" effect optimized for "master mix" processing only - it's colorization depth is LIMITED so you could not destroy the sound... So finally you could hear it only when processing whole mixes (not single instruments typically) and only using good amp/speakers/headphones... (there's a trick although to put two instances of plugin in serial)... Again - this plugin emulates behaviour of the single tube amplification stage - NOT "tube overdrive pedal", "whole guitar combo/cabinet" or similiar...

Hi..thanks for answer..but im not quete shure what you have said...and lets see have I ?....
on this page "http://www.mccartneyland.fsnet.co.uk/mackie/shots/scrshots.htm" there is DSP picture ( i couldn't find it on KX site)..and if i put TUBESOUND two times, one after another in between TIMBRE (8) and EPILOG (10) i should hear the differences?... And TUBESOUND, if i got it right, gives you sound effect of an old amplifier? thanks
