Re: CT4760 no sound :(

Try resetting by right clicking on the kX tray icon and choose: Settings. Reset both global and device settings. Also make sure your speakers are connected to the right output. kX uses the rear output by default. There is a setting for that on the main page of the mixer.

Re: CT4760 no sound :(

Hmm, someone else mentioned the same problem with 3541.

If you are unable to get it working, you might try an older version of kX (like 3539, or maybe 3538m).

Re: CT4760 no sound :(

Does it work correctly with the Creative driver? I do not have one of these cards, but the 3538 versions of kX were around for a long time and no-one ever mentioned this issue (I think a lot of people would have complained if they had no sound), which makes me think something else is going on.

Try installing the Creative driver... IIRC, it includes a utility that can be used to reset some of the hardware settings ('Creative Restore Defaults' or something like that). Try that and see if it fixes the problem.

Aside from the above, it would be nice if other CT4760 and CT4830 users could respond and let us know if they also have this issue (or do not have this issue), and what version of kX they are using, etc.
