Sad 5.1 problems - Windows 7

Hi,

i have a SB0100 running with Windows 7 final and kx 3549 .

Sound is okay in Stereo (2.1 - except the fact that the center speaker is also used, this shouldn't be?)

But if i turn on 5.1 Surround on and playing a surround testfile (Free surround music download - 5.1 Dolby Digital with vlc) the frontleft speaker comes up with "front left, center, rear left and rear right" so everthing but front right

center: everthing
front right: everthing but front left
rear left: everthing but rear left
rear right: everthing but rear right...

speaker are connected in the right way and were working with xp and the original 2002 driver

I tried to play around with DSP tool a little but without a result.

Do you guys have any idea what i'm doing wrong?

Re: 5.1 problems - Windows 7

There is a new driver version 3550. Try that.

You might also look into getting AC3 filter or k-lite codec pack which comes with the Classic player. I find it's better than VLC at playing surround files, but that's just my opinion.

You need to include more info (i.e. kX version, card model, OS info, etc).

Beyond that, see the following thread: http://www.hardwareheaven.com/effects-...-not-work.html
