Converting from 5.1 analog to SPDIF
Hi everyone, it's my first post in here.
Sorry if this is not the right section. I'm a bit confused with this audio stuff, but here is my problem: I have an ASUS P5K Premium motherboard with onoboard AD1988B audio (which I use). My computer is connected to a DD receiver through SPDIF. I can watch movies in DD 5.1 with no problems using FFDShow or AC3Filter. What I want to do know is to play games that supports 5.1. Almost all recent game have an option to use 5.1 speaker setup, but they send the audio to the analog jacks of the motherboard audio. Is there a software or something that will get the 5.1 audio from the game, encode it in AC3 and send through SPDIF? (almost like the AC3 Filter, but using other audio sources). I've read about a software called redocneXk, but I think it only works in kX, SB Audigy and X-Fi cards. Thanks in advance, Fergo |
