To Russ: Need your help with kxmixer w/Win 7

First off, this is a GREAT program, as I use it for my online radio podcasts. A hardy thanks to the Kx project team.

I used it on Vista x64 with great success, and I got it to work in Windows 7. However, whenever I reboot, all my settings get reset.

I tried opening/closing with administrator privileges, but it makes no difference. I found somewhat of a workaround by saving the settings to my desktop, then reload it after rebooting.

But do you have any idea what might be the issue?

It sounds like you are missing the registry entry that loads kxmixer and restores settings (are you using a startup manager?).

It is usually found in the RUN key in the registry.

i.e. (with 3550 on WinXP)
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Run

It is a string value named: kX Mixer
And its value is: C:\Program Files\kX Audio Driver\3550\kxmixer.exe --startup
