Audidgy 2 ZS Notebook
Please forgive me for this question. I been away for some time. I tried a search but too much water over the dam for me to find the answer. I've been without KX since my Desktop died a year ago. I only have a Lappy with the A2ZSNB. It's a Toshiba PIV 3.0 2G Ram. XP Pro SP3. What version of KX can I use. I need both in and out.
Thanks so much. I do hope to get back using these great drivers. I could do so much. |

Re: Audidgy 2 ZS Notebook
The latest is 3550, it runs fine under XP SP3. I had switched from 3545 which also run well.

Re: Audidgy 2 ZS Notebook
So far it's working fabulously. Just the way my 5.1 card did. Inputs aren't noisy ,outputs are very clean with great fidelity and the best part is I can have effects enabled in the input. I'm using 2 pairs of outputs from my audio application. One for drums & one for the other instruments. I use the other pair as effects returns. I use the line input as the effects send and also the recording input. I was using 3 cards to do this and also had to use another application as a host for the effects. The clarity of the playback far exceeds the CL drivers.
Can you tell I'm thrilled!!!!!!!!!! |

Re: Audidgy 2 ZS Notebook
One thing I can't seem to get working is playback using ASIO. I choose ASIO 00,01 in my app but no sound. ASIO 00.01 uses the 00,01 outs of FXBus right? I have sound out of FXBus 00,01 when using WDM. What am I doing wrong?

Re: Audidgy 2 ZS Notebook
You may need to monitor the track in your app to hear it, not sure if that's what you mean.

Re: Audidgy 2 ZS Notebook
The app I'm using only has one audio port. I normally use WDM 00&01. If I switch to using ASIO & also choose 00 & 01 I should be able to hear audio because ASIO 00 & 01 are routed to the same outs as Wave 00 & o1. I don't hear anything with ASIO chosen.

Re: Audidgy 2 ZS Notebook
are you using the stock DSP or are you building your own with proFx?

Re: Audidgy 2 ZS Notebook
Are you using epilog or kl2t for your outputs and have you "wired" ASIO? (proFx has it's own ASIO module )
Also, it's a good idea to load "peak" and check your signals at various spots in the DSP when troubleshooting.

Re: Audidgy 2 ZS Notebook
I'm using epilog. I'm not trying to record via ASIO so I don't have to wire anything do I?

Re: Audidgy 2 ZS Notebook
I think if you want to use ASIO at all it needs to be connected in the DSP. I'm not sure as I've never run into what your are getting. Of course, I've never tried all options in KX drivers either....... there's much I don't know about them.

Re: Audidgy 2 ZS Notebook
Sorry I forgot to post my results.
I wasn't using the right FX Bus. I'm supposed to use FXBUSX. That fixed it. |
