KX hangs on boot

I`ve been using KX drivers for years now but something changed,
the drivers hang on boot and I`ll have to to reboot from the computer
case knob. Tried about every version of the drivers with the same behaviour. It hangs when it is opening the DSP preset I have had for many years. I´ve tried to look at the registry but can`t find anything obvious...

Any ideas where to look other than a clean install

Did you just upgrade to 3550 when this started? From what I've read some of the dsp plugins don't work right anymore....... You may have one of those in use.

I had the 3550 (it didn´t work for directsound) for a moment but rolled back to 3541 and now to 3580m.

Maybe one of those versions left something behind, did you try drivercleaner or something like that between versions? Which version of Windows too? That may make a difference.

XP Pro SP3 and I`ve used registry cleaners but don´t have a driver cleaner

Thanks for help! Downloaded the Driver Cleaner but the problem was actually with
my messed registry which I was able to correct with old Dachshund AntiCrash auto repair which I have from the old days and works with XP. Saved me from
many nights reinstalling "nightmare". That is something I´m willing to do once I upgrade to i7 and windows 7. Q6600 has some time left with me.
