I am running Windows 7 64 bit. I have 3 GB of RAM.
I have a Soundblaster Live! CT4670 soundcard which I just put in. I have 2 speakers and a subwoofer. At startup, I pressed F10 and went into BIOS, disabled onboard audio. I then ran windows and installed the kX Project. Now I have no sound. Doesn't matter what jack I plug my speakers into. When I run tests, it says "failed to create sound" Please help I looked at some of the other threads but they were too technical for me, something about tweaking buffers but I have no idea what to change in those settings.... What should I do with all my settings to get sound to work? Thanks! -Pareeeee |

Re: Newbie here - NO SOUND (Win7x64)
Ok. i somehow got sound working. dont know how i did it but i did...i think the driver for my old soundcard was interfering. had to make sure that i disabled the other soundcard in device manager.

Re: Newbie here - NO SOUND (Win7x64)
FYI: The "Failed to create sound" problem is a known bug:
Speaker Test not working..."failed to create sound"?
