??? Sound is so quiet...

I have the master volume turned up - why is everything still quiet??

(Windows 7 x64 3GB of RAM)

sounds > playback >speakers > properties > levels tab, check your levels there.

Try plugging your headphones into the rear speaker output slot of your soundcard or open the kx mixer and click on the circular box that has a check sign and reads: "Toggle 'Swap Front and Rear' mode" (appears via mouse-over).
