Windows to kx Drivers
Audigy 2 ZS w/ kxProject Drivers
Windows 7 So I recently bought the Audigy 2 ZS card because I was interested in playing with the capabilities of these drivers. I'm floored by the flexibility of these drivers. I got the kx drivers and a vst host working with foobar to output filtered sound from the various outputs so far. Is it possible to now send all the Windows output to one of the available outputs (Master Mixer, HQ or one of the waveouts?) and send its output into the kxDSP? I would like to be able to play games, listen to music and anything else in Windows too. If this is a possibility, which plugin do I need to pull data from those places? Thanks again and I will surely be donating to the cause. |

Re: Windows to kx Drivers
Windows output is set in the Playback Devices panel, accessible via right clicking on volume icon.

He means read this great kX article for new kX users: A newbie guide on kX's (DSP) concept or "How to setup your DSP".

Re: Windows to kx Drivers
So now that I've had a lot more time to use the kxDSP and understand what I'm doing with it, I can restate the question and give you the solution I've come up with...
My signal chain goes like this, for now: foobar->kxDSP->console->kxDSP->physical outputs I'm using console to filter/EQ to give signal to a three way active speaker setup. My actual question was how do I route Windows program sounds through a common interface to get it into ASIO. My solution was to set the Windows playback device to Waveout 2/3. Using the peak plugin, I found which FXBus outputs were outputting Waveout 2/3 (in my case, it was FXBus 2 and 3). So far, it seems to be working well. It's just somewhat inconvenient to have to set all the volumes using the volume controls in the Windows mixer, but I'm glad to have it working at this point. |
