2 soundcards
I have a Soundblaster Live! soundcard in my PC and plan on installing a 2nd one just for MIDI. Is it possible to use the KX driver with the MIDI soundcard and still keep the original driver working with my "main" card?

Re: 2 soundcards
Excellent. Can anyone tell me how I go about doing it? I've never done this before. I asked someone over on the Kristal forum and he also said it was indeed possible, but was never able to figure it out, so he just used the KX Driver for both soundcards. Is there a trick to this? I'm looking to use 2 drivers (a different one for each card).

Re: 2 soundcards
I think if you install the other driver first it will work. When you install KX with multiple cars it ask "do you want to install for SB-0XXX card" for each card..... you would say NO to the card with the different driver and let it install just for the other card. If you have trouble installing the other driver with two cards in place just pull the second card, install driver, put the second card in and install KX.
I've never done this myself, but yes in theory, it can. I've done 2 and 3 cards with KX only and a combo of KX cards and a MOBO sound device under XP.

Re: 2 soundcards
My advice is to uninstall your drivers and use Driver Sweeper from Guru3D.com. Then do a fresh install and ignore the windows found new hardware stuff. The KX driver will install drivers for each soundcard and you can pick which driver to use with your mixer etc, by right clicking th KX icon in the system tray and choosing device.

Hey mobomofo! Long time......
What you passed along is good info but he wants to run two different drivers, KX and Creative (I believe, "original working driver") Question is which first?
