Very flat sound with live 5.1

Hi, I'm using KxProject drivers on Win 7 x64 with Live! 5.1 card. The driver works perfect but I don't like the sound. It's very flat without any dynamics on mids and no punchy bass. I was very happy with the sound of the official Creative drivers on win xp. Do you think that is a problem with my kx driver configuration? I love the interface of the Kx drivers and they run without any trouble.

Then you haven't configured it properly, what kind of speaker setup or are you using headphones? If headphones I could send my config which definitely doesn't lack bass lol. Creative's drivers (or any other soundcard + drivers I know of) come nowhere near the bass output I can get with kX Audio drivers

Just use the 10 band EQ plugin or Timbre plugin and if one is not enough, use another instance of same plugin to tweak bass and mids etc. The 10 band EQ is the best working EQ I've ever tried so I'd really recommend using it. Also I'd recommend using Wave 4/5 in case you're only using stereo or headphone setup because this output has the strongest/best bass output or the warmest sound signature, the default has rather flat type of bass. For dynamics in sound, I'd make sure "Surrounder+" plugin has "surround" set to "on".
