I would like to know if there's compatibility with EMU 1616m PCMCIA card with microdock.

Re: EMU 1616m compatibility
Before you go that route, are you aware that EMU has released a beta driver for all its current hardware for Windows 7 (incl 64 bit)? Its available from a link on the home page at E-MU Systems - Established 1971 - Emulator X3, Proteus X2, PCI & USB Audio/MIDI Interfaces/MIDI Controllers. Click on the Windows 7 link.
I operate a 1616m alongside an Audigy 2-based kX 3550 card with no problems, although order of installation is key. That said, if you insist on using the 1616m as a kX card I believe it will work with some restrictions in functionality. I did once load kX3550 on my 1010 card and it was successful, but not sure if you will get full equivalent functionality to the 1616m card. |

which one is the best installation order? somwhere I read to install first the emu.. and somewhere else.. first audigy... About drivers.. I have still XP 32 bit.. and not convinced to pass to other system I use both audigy 2 Zs and EMU 1616m via cardbus PCMCIA (32 bit) and not together.. (only one slot) but alternativaly second the use... In another post I asked about a ZS Notebook issue but noone solved it. I had to come back to original drivers abandoning KX as the input and recorder didn't worked someone knows why, and if it's solved? |
