Can't get AC3 in Windows7 to work
Hi,
I recently switched to Windows 7 (64 Bit) and have problems playing AC3 as surround. Stereo sound works perfectly, but whatever output device I select, any player just delivers stereo sound to the primary connection. So there is WaveOut 2/3, 4/5 and 6/7. I tried using DirectSound, any of those output devices. No matter what I choose, the device will only receive stereo sound. I used to have four ProFX Src-Connections: 0/1, 2/3, 4/5 and 6/7. The first one was for stereo sound, the other three for AC3/games. I connected all four to the Surrounder+ and it always worked perfectly (after configuring the router). Not anymore. The output jacks all work, so if I connect input to any of the output slots the sound comes out of the different boxes. So it really is "just" a problem of windows/ the driver not delivering surround sound to the appropriate fx channels. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks, Simon Last edited by pragmatick; Jun 21, 2010 at 01:27 AM. |
