No sound at all Windows 7
So I recently just upgraded from windows xp to windows 7 64 bit pro and found that KX had drivers for my SB0100 5.1 soundblaster card. I tried dl'in the x86 to find that it had an error everytime I tried to install and then went to the x64 version which was able to install. The first thing I notice though is that during the install it picks up my card as a SB0102 which may or may not be the problem I guess. Everything does seem to be fine but after switching settings and plugging in the cords every which way I still cannot seem to get any sound at all.
I have a logitech x-540 speaker setup pretty basic and observed that the 6/7 wave out seems to be the default line that it is trying to play. If anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated. |

Re: No sound at all Windows 7
Try using Wave 2/3 or SPDIF/AC3 (Wave 6/7 would play to Center/LFE speakers, which you may not hear, depending on how Surrounder is set in kX DSP).

Re: No sound at all Windows 7
Oh man, thank you so much. Guess I just didn't switch through enough settings to get to the wave 2/3 which instantly gave me good sound.
