Re: 5.1 Imposible Windows 7
Your pictures are much too small to see anything. Did you try AC3/SPDIF as your default output in Windows sound control panel?

Re: 5.1 Imposible Windows 7
The above does not really make sense with the settings shown in your pictures, so something is screwy... (e.g. your settings indicate stereo to 5.1 upmixing from FxBus 0/1 (SPDIF/AC3 is 2 channel only, AFAIK), so how are you getting center/sub without any front channel to derive them from?). Note: The above results would be likely if Wave 6/7 were set as the default (instead of SPDIF/AC3 as shown in the picture).
How are you testing? Try the following: Reconnect your speaker cables to the sound card (disconnect/reconnect and be sure the cables are fully inserted in the jacks of the sound card). Reset AC97 (click on Reset AC97 button on AC97 page of kxmixer). Reset Device Settings (kX settings menu). Reinitialize the DSP and then reconfigure Surrounder. Re: 5.1 Imposible Windows 7
Peate: i'm sorry, i post tumbnails for forum.
http://a.imageshack.us/img251/6707/controlag.jpg http://a.imageshack.us/img251/3337/config2o.jpg http://a.imageshack.us/img819/799/config1.jpg Russ: i try with all options like default: SPDIF, Master Mixer, Wave Out 2/3, 4/5 and 6/7, but always sound the center/subwoofer. Only switch (or swap) front - rear. Speakers are connected Ok, with Daniel K drivers works "fine". I clear all sound drivers before install Kx. Other thing, never appears active the "configure" button to change windows settings to 5.1. I hope don't forget nothing. Thanks for the quick answer =) |

Re: 5.1 Imposible Windows 7
You didn't say how you are testing... If it is a music program, check it's settings (i.e. some programs allow you to choose which device to use regardless of what is set as the default for Windows (e.g. maybe your music program is set to Wave 6/7?)).
Aside from the above: Load a peak plugin in the DSP and use it to see if you are getting a signal from FxBus when playing stereo audio (e.g. an mp3). With SPDIF/AC3 you should get a signal from FxBus 0/1 (AFAIK). With Wave 2/3 you should get a signal from FxBus 2/3. With Wave 4/5 you should get a signal from FxBus 4/5. With Wave 6/7 you should get a signal from FxBus 6/7. With Master Mixer, it may come from any of the above 3 (there is a routing bug with stereo audio and Master Mixer). Also, you could load the Wave Generator 3 plugin in the DSP, and connect it's sine wave output to each speaker connection (one at a time) on epilog, and see if you are able to hear it. |
