Creative soundblaster CT4830 mic problem
I recently installed an old soundcard (Sound Blaster Live! Value/Player Compaq /Intel/IBM/NEc {CT4830}) and downloaded drivers from the KX project, because i couldn't get the Creative drivers to work on Windows 7 ultimate x64. The sound is working fine but the mic isn't.
Anyone has a solution or knows which setting have to be used? Driver version of KX is 3550 |

Re: Creative soundblaster CT4830 mic problem
In KX mixer go to the AC97 page, select MIC as your input device, un-mute the MIC slider and set the slider to 0. There is a boost there also but leave that as is for now. Then go to the ins and outs page, unmute and set your level on the AC97 slider........ You should hear the MIC.

Is it a known good MIC and are you sure that MIC input is good on the card? In other words have you had it working before Win7....
