Only available Speakermode 5.1
Hey Guys,
I just installed windows 7 and got the kx audio drivers. I have a Soundblaster Live 5.1 and used the kx on win XP and it went well there. Now I cant select any other Speakermode in the Surrounder then the 5.1...why is that? I want to use headphones and the according speaker mode. Currently iam running 5.1 Speakermode and the WaveOut 2/3 which works...but i am obviously getting only the two "front speakers" on my headphones because its 5.1...when i try to pick headphones in the surrounder it says: "Headphones presets are not currently supported". Help pls?!?!! |

Re: Only available Speakermode 5.1
Have you checked the speaker settings in Windows audio panel? (access through control panel) I'm not sure how those two interact but found that they both needed to be checked when I had Win7 RTM, the windows setting automatically sets to the max outputs the card can support.

Re: Only available Speakermode 5.1
The headphone presets are not implemented in Surrounder, use the 2.0 Surround Mix preset, or a custom DSP config.
Note: Wave 2/3 is stereo only (anything else you might be getting is the result of upmixing). If your source audio has more than 2 channels, than you should use Master Mixer for playback. |
