Popa is on a distinguished road

Instal problem on WIN 7 x64

I have been using kX for 6-7 years or so, with verry little or no problems, but it seems i cannont install drivers on my win7 x64 bit system.

I have CT4830 card, but system cannot install it.
I plug it in, device menanger finds two PCI devices (the other one is game port i presume?).

I run the installation package, it finds the device and offers me to install drivers for: PCI\VEN_1102&DEV_0002&SUBSYS_041C0001&REV_08 , so I guess the drivers see the card.

Next screen shows me to choose model that matches my hardware. I have 3 options to choose:

kX 10k1 Audio 3550 - Generic
kX 10k2 Audio 3550 - Generic
kX 10k2.5 Audio 3550 - Generic

I tryed to choose any of the 3, and I always get the "Error installing device driver, kX Setup will try to re-install the driver later..." message.

I remember from before, when you try to instal in on XP, you can choose the soundcard model when installing from device menanger (CT4830).

In windows 7, when i try it to instal trough device Menanger, it says it didn't found the drivers in folders (subfolders included).

Anyone, please help , what could I try to do next, I cant live anymore with this crappy ASIO4all

TNX!!

Re: Instal problem on WIN 7 x64

The SubSystemID string does not look right (typically ends in 1102, e.g. SUBSYS_80271102), so maybe the system is not communicating with the card correctly? I would try re-seating the card or moving it to another PCI slot.
