Windows 7 games sound popping
Using Windows 7 32 bit, SoundBlaster Live SB0102. Music and everything else okay using SPDIF/AC3 output and wave out 2/3, but running MS Flight Simulator X, I get a lot of popping in the effects. Looked through here, didn't see any posts about that ..... any ideas on how to clear that up? I suspect it has something to do with Direct Sound (Direct X) maybe. TIA.

Re: Windows 7 games sound popping
I remember I had issues in Win XP with some of the Wave outputs in Oblivion for example and switching to another cured it. Now I don't know if this will help here but would be worth a try, have you tried using Wave 4/5 and 5/6? (You only need to reroute the corresponding outputs from FXBusX to the top 2 inputs on xrouting in kX DSP and switch output device in control panel). I've been using 4/5 personally with Win 7 and I've played a lot of games without any issues but haven't tried Flight Simulator X unfortunately.

Re: Windows 7 games sound popping
I'm not really comfortable, or familiar with DSP modification yet ... I'm working on it. I've read all the guides, so I just need some time . I did install two other games, though, and the sound is fine in them ... it just seems to be with flight simulator for some reason. I suspect it may have something to do with the DSP set up because FS worked fine in windows xp sp3 and same hardware. I just thought that maybe someone else might have had the same experience. Thanks.
